Meet the Owner 

Rodney Isley, the owner-operator of Wild Country Auctions Inc., brings over 30 years of auctioneering experience to the table. A graduate of the Western Canada School of Auctioneering in 1990, Rodney has honed his skills in all aspects of the auction industry. 

Rodney’s Background 

Growing up with his father, John Isley, an auctioneer, Rodney learned the ins and outs of the auction business from a young age. He started his career at Barrhead Auction Mart (1978 Ltd.) in Barrhead, AB, participating in livestock and machinery sales, farm sales, and on-location auction sales. 

In the 2000s, Rodney worked full-time at Gary Hanna Auctions in Edmonton, AB, for 10 years. During this time, he was responsible for setting up sales, appraising vehicles and assets for banks and consignors, and supervising warehouse operations as the manager. 

Extensive Experience 

Rodney’s extensive experience in auctioneering, asset appraisals, sale presentations, and marketing ensures that Wild Country Auctions Inc. operates with professionalism and expertise. As a freelance auctioneer, Rodney has worked with numerous auction companies, further expanding his knowledge and skill set.
